JAY PARTS PITMAN POLARIS SPORTSMAN SCRAMBLER 850 1000 - JP0186

For machines with power steering. The Jay Parts Pitman is made of high-strength steel and provides double clamping with a higher bite on the splines. Increased strength with added gusset!

WHAT IS RESOLVED?

Play in the steering is 80% a worn pitman. The one before 2013 without clamping and from 2014 with clamping. The best way to check is to have someone move the handlebars and use a flashlight to watch the splines closely under the power steering. 1 mm clearance between Pitman and toothing is 8 - 10mm at the end of the handlebar!

On models from 2009 - 2012, adjustments may be necessary to put the steering lock in the pitman; holes are provided.

RECOMMENDATION
For installation, we also recommend checking the tie rod ends first and also changing them during the pitman install. 

The installation by your specialist workshop is advisable and recommended.
